Wow this was actually great.

I must admit that in the Glittering Court I was not a Tamsin fan. She was too competitive and obsessed with winning. I just couldn't stand her. In ES we find out that there is a reason she is like this. And that really changed the way I felt about her character. Being the best, and marrying the most eligible bachelor is not something she wants. It's something she has to do.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that this story will be about the shipwreck and Gideon Stewart.

I rarely write reviews on good reads because I write badly in English (I am french by the way), but when I see that this book is so under appreciated... I had to step in, shitty level or not. We all get to play wonder-woman one day.

It's really strange for me, because I have been reading Richelle Mead's books for ages, I started with the Vampire Academy series in high school. I really appreciate how her writing has improved, how she was able at some point to change her style and move to new idea

This was the best book in the series! And one of the most addictive!

Tamsin Wright. It shocked me the most that she had a daughter! I mean, who could have seen that coming? Well, almost no one practically. In this book, she, a kind of, became a leader. And she did her job well. Although, she was reminding herself again and again that all this was for Merry, her daughter.

Jago Robinson. Or should I say Jacob Robinson? Well, does it matters? He's a trader. Who's very fond of horse

Liked book 2 a tad more but this story is still better than book 1. Tamsin is very feisty and gets what she wants and if doesn't puts up a great fight. This book is between a 3.5-4 for me.

Review in a Nutshell: The Emerald Sea was a fun, addicting read for those who are returning to the world of the Glittering Court and those who have yet to discover it.

This book was provided by the publisher. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

We’re making our final visit to the Glittering Court in The Emerald Sea. In the style of the previous two books, this one follows the same story and timeline but from the third character, Tamsin.

I’d say The Emerald Sea was more like Midnight Jewel than The Glittering Court. Adelaide’s choices were never clear to me and, frankly, I never found her character interesting enough to care a

Well... to be honest.. I don't even know how to put my boredom into words yet...
Review to come.

The Emerald Sea is the final book in the Glittering Court series and each book is centred around a girl and their studies to find themselves a wealthy husband. This particular book is based on Tasmin Wright, who you learn from the previous books, is a bit of a determined and rude woman. Tasmin, like most of the girls that attended the Glittering Court, comes from nothing besides a poor family and rise

Yes! This is probably my favorite of the trilogy, and I'm actually really glad that Richelle Mead released them in the order she did. And now I totally need to go back and reread both Adelaide and Mira's books, just so I can see if I can piece together other details and such that I didn't even realize that I missed. Tamsin is such a determined individual, and even though her secret was very predictable, Mead didn't try and hide it for too long. I think it was revealed in the first few chapters, ...more

Definitely my favorite of the Glittering Court trilogy, but maybe that's just because I found Tamsin so relatable. She's such an amazing, strong, and determined woman who knows exactly what she wants and will stop at nothing to get it.

I do hope we'll see more of this world in the future as I have so many questions about the Icori and the Balanquan people.

I enjoyed wrapping up the Glittering Court Series. I especially enjoyed that none of the 3 girls in the books actually married as they intended! Instead they found independence, learned that they were worth more than being trophy wives, opened up with each other, as well as other people, and found the love, adventure and opportunity they were searching for.

Tamsin's tale was the one I was most looking forward to reading. It did not disappoint and was a nice ending to the series. As always, Richelle is superb at world building and manages to capture us with the characters.

This series is refreshing and fantastic. Flawed at times, but definitely delightful in the big picture. I had so much fun reading this series, and now I will have fun writing about my thoughts and interpretations.

My thoughts on The Emerald Sea: YAS QUEEN TAMSIN! In the other books, I wanted to understand her, but couldn't. Now I do, and she's a spectacular survivor oozing with relentless determination (as everyone in the book points out). I loved the sexy romance Mira had in the second book, but

So, I know the book has not been released yet but what are you guys expecting from Tamsin and from the book as whole? As in would it be better than the first two books or any guesses about the male protagonist opposite Tamsin?

I have been waiting so long for this book, ever since I read the first one. Tamsin was absent for such a large chunk of time and I was eager to see what all she was doing in that time. I also thought her the most interesting character at first. Mira turned out to be equally interesting once the reader got her side of the story. Overall the trilogy was great and each story focused on different aspects of their old lives as well as the new one. I'm happy with how it all turned out and the conclusi ...more

My favorite of the trilogy and definitely the best one! When I read the first two books of the series, I wasn't crazy about Tamsin. But that's just because I didn't really know her. We finally get her story and it was simply amazing and not at all what I was expecting, in the very best way. The story starts with them still at the Glittering Court and when their families are allowed to visit them. That scene reveals a lot! We finally learn the reasons why Tamsin is so set on being the best and wh ...more

This was so much better than the second book, and it makes sense why--Tamsin was absent for a huge part of the first book, so hearing her story allows for less repetition, and we finally get all the answers. Tamsin is probably the most interesting story as well, with multiple love interests, complex family drama, dozens of obstacles and all the political intrigue. Also, I forgot a lot of the first two books (detail wise), so that helped. This trilogy of the same story from three perspectives was ...more

Tamsin Wright has always been a marvelous character, so I was expecting nothing less of her in this book written in her full perspective. She definitely delivered, and more at that!

As based on my ratings, each book of this series has gotten better and better! The first book wasn’t horrible, so I didn’t give up on this series, and I’m so glad I didn’t! There are just so many secrets, relationships, and adventures to keep the series going! With this specific book, the most adventure happens becau

This trilogy was risky. It was three concurrent stories from three different perspectives. It could have gotten really redundant. But it didn’t.

Of the three books, this book felt really relevant to today. But I appreciated how the books took a fairy tale and flipped the script in three very different ways. I also appreciated how she wove femininity in as a strength and not a weakness to overcome. And it reimagines a different future for our country in a subtle way, one that isn’t too late to ach

Fine conclusion to the series.... I’m know you supposedly can read them in any order, but I’m not sure they would have made as much sense and been as satisfying if I hadn’t read them in their published order.

I must say that Tamsin was my least favorite character but I wholly enjoyed her story... which turned out to be one of the most harrowing of all the girls... it was quite the adventure and I loved how everything was tied up so nicely!

Another winner for the author. Can’t wait to read what she

Love love love Tamsin’s character most of the Glittering Court girls, and I’ve been most excited to hear her story since book 1. While there were so many characters with fantastic personalities in this book, there was also too much world-building and too many unique groups of peoples to keep straight, meaning I ended up skimming over many pages throughout. I’d love a “follow-up” book that included all 3 girls’ futures!

I really enjoyed it - not as much as Mira's, but it was a close second. I love Tamsin's drive, and as the author said at a book talk, knowing WHY she's so driven makes her even more interesting and sympathetic. I also quite enjoyed Jago, and cringed repeatedly with Dinah and the Heirs. Once again, I love Mead as an author - her voice, her characters, her plots - and enjoyed this, even though all of the worst things seem to happen to Tamsin.

A thoroughly satisfying conclusion to the Glittering Court series. I was afraid I wouldn’t like Tamsn’s story as much at first, but once she was separated from the other girls and took the reins of her own fate I was hooked. Her secret and the reason for being so driven was convincing, and I enjoyed following along with her remarkable journey across Adoria and her willingness and ability to get things done

I love the way Richelle write Characters chemistry. She makes you fall in love with two characters. My new favorites are now Tasmin and Jago! I want a Jago. Richelle also have a way of writing strong female characters. Where they control their lives and can figure things out without help. Please read this book.

I liked Tamisin and her story the best of these three. It's a bit outrageous some of the time, but in a fun way; she's strong and capable and determined in ad determined, and she's not afraid to do what she needs to take care of her family and reach her goals. There's also a lot new here, since Tamisin was so separate from Adelaide and Mira most of the time.

MY FAVORITE BOOK OF 2018 so far!
I loved Adelaide and I Loved Mira, but I LOVE TAMSIN THE MOST!!! From the very beginning I loved this series but each book just got better. I’m slightly disappointed with the lack of closure with Mira at the end but for the most part it was perfection.
